About Superbad Records

History

Superbad Records was originally founded by Eugene Bogan and me in 1991 as a vehicle for putting out vinyl seven inches for our band Severin. From 1996-2003 I guided the label solo as the main engine for The Capitol City Dusters while also supporting releases from touring pals Aina and The Most Secret Method. From the beginning Dischord Records has been a part of the family offering split label support and distribution through Dischord Direct.

From 2003-2024 the label went into hibernation and The Dusters' Ben Azzara, who created the original website, continued to maintain superbad.com as a digital archive. In 2025 I refired the kiln to release new music from my band DIAMINE and to re-issue some material from the back catalog that has never been available in a digital format. Along with that I've also refreshed the website, building upon the foundation of Ben's original architecture. Enjoy.
